Gannon Goldsworthy
Residence Hall
Washington State University
Step 3 - Checking In
1) Once you enter the main back entrance to Gannon Goldsworthy by the Southside Dining center entrance head up the Goldsworthy ramps to the Gannon Goldsworthy lobby. There will be signs telling you where to check in. While you are checking in, you will be asked to sign up for required university training sessions, recieve your key, get information about hall governemnt, and meet various hall staff members.
2) Once you have received your key and checked in you can get a cart and start moving your belongings. Please also keep in mind that carts can be a 'hot commodity' during check in and will pobably have a wait list. Some families in the past have brought a collapsible dolly that speeds up their move-in process.
Note: If you live on the 1st floor of Gannon, 1st floor of Goldsworthy, or 2nd floor of Goldsworthy we ask that you do not use the elevators to move-in as there is ramp access to your floor. We are also requesting that elevators are only used to move heavy objects and carts to higher floors. Our Elevators can break if used for small trips like 2nd to 3rd floor so minimizing the trips will be beneficial in the long run for all residents.
3) Once all your belongings are in your room, move your car from the unloading zone. You will be directed to the Blue parking lot where your car is able to be parked for the weekend without getting ticketed.
Instructions:
-
Take a right out of the GG lot
-
Take a right onto Grimes Way (first stop light)
-
Take a right onto Olympia Ave
-
Take a left on Forrest Dr.
-
The Blue lot will be on the right
4) Once you have moved your car your next and final step is to settle in and meet your neighbors! Oh and don't forget to say thank-you to any family members or friends that helped you move in :)
